Midway along the Sea to Sky Highway, one of North America’s most scenic stretches of highway, you’ll find the small town of Squamish. And at the southern end of downtown, you’ll find Howe Sound Brewing. Dating back to 1996 and recently named Canada’s Brewery of the Year (2022 Canadian Brewing Awards), it’s the original Squamish brewery and operates as a brewpub, restaurant, and inn with the best outdoor patio in town—take our word for it, the views are spectacular.
The next stop is the heart of the Sea to Sky: Whistler, a playground for the adventurer and a haven for those seeking the finer delights in life. Whether you want to shred powder-packed peaks, send some gnarly lines, or simply shop ‘till you drop, one thing’s for sure: you’re going to get thirsty. Only steps from the Olympic Plaza, you’ll find High Mountain Brewing, aka the “BrewHouse.” Serving some of the best food in town, coupled with a solid beer list, this is a great spot to sit back and relax. Next, head south to Function Junction, Whistler’s industrial zone with a twist that is home to two breweries. The first one you’ll come across is Whistler Brewing, which dates back to 1989. Just around the corner, you’ll find Coast Mountain Brewing, where you can experience the taste of the Sea to Sky, soak up the vibrant atmosphere, and rub shoulders with the locals. Next door, harness your inner lumberjack and enjoy a selection of local craft beer at Forged Axe Throwing.
Leave the lively resort town of Whistler behind and take the road less travelled to the small town of Pemberton, an outdoor recreation destination. Sitting at the foot of the majestic Mount Currie, you’ll find Pemberton Brewing Co. The location is prime for mountain bike enthusiasts with an impressive network of trails nearby, and you’ll struggle to find a brewery in a more scenic setting than this. On the other side of the valley is The Beer Farmers, which is based out of a charming, rustic barn, producing farm-to-glass beer on land that has been farmed by the Miller family for four generations.
Continue along some of the most picturesque roads you’ll ever encounter to the beautiful village of Lillooet, which is home to an excellent brewery of its own. Lillooet Brewing has a comfortable tasting room and big outdoor patio that boasts some panoramic views. It will be impossible to put your camera down while you sip a tasty flight!

Drive from Vancouver along the stunning Sea to Sky Highway, approximately 1 hour.

Drive to Whistler, BC (approximately 40 minutes).
Brandywine Falls (the spectacular 70-metre waterfall) is best seen from the viewpoint which is an easy walk to get to and also presents some amazing views of Daisy Lake and the surrounding mountains. This park provides opportunities for hiking, picnicking, mountain biking, and viewing of the waterfall. Note: The park is CLOSED during the winter season, and during the peak season parking is limited, so it is best to consider setting off early!

Everything at Blackbird Bakery is baked in house and created with the seasons, sourced locally with organic and natural foods. From mouth-watering fresh croissants, cookies, cinnamon buns or a selection of daily pastries ranging from pain au chocolat to a gluten free banana bread all cravings can be satisfied. Their coffee is roasted in the Pemberton Valley and their tea comes from Squamish.
Travel towards Lillooet along Highway 99, approximately 1.5 hours
The Seton Lake recreational area is part of BC Hydro's Bridge River hydroelectric complex. It includes one campground and three day-use/picnic areas that offer a range of activities, including boating, canoeing, hiking and fishing, plus a viewpoint overlooking Seton Lake Reservoir.
You can discover pieces of Lillooet's history through panels and plaques on the Golden Mile of History self guided tour. Step into Lillooet’s fascinating past with the virtual map or pick up a copy at the Lillooet Museum & Visitor Centre.
