Take in the Murals in Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant is the birthplace of the Vancouver Mural Festival and remains one of the most vibrant open-air art destinations in the city, with over 100 murals adorning its streets, laneways, and buildings. While the original festival has closed its doors, the neighbourhood’s incredible collection of murals is still very much alive — and free walking tours led by Vancouver DeTours are available throughout 2026 to help you take it all in. Keep an eye out for the Astro Arts Festival, a newer street art celebration that has taken up the torch in Mount Pleasant each August.
