Trout Lake in John Hendry Park

At the south end of The Drive sits John Hendry Park, home of Trout Lake — the only place in Vancouver with a lifeguarded freshwater beach, and a lovely alternative to the city’s ocean shores. It’s a great spot for a lakeside stroll, a picnic, or a dog off-leash run, and on Saturdays from May through October the Trout Lake Farmers Market brings fresh produce, baked goods, and live music to the park.
