Hop Creek Brewing

Hop Creek Brewing sits on a 33-acre working farm in Brackendale. However, their agricultural roots reach further beyond. The Wright family’s ranching history in British Columbia dates to 1862, when William Wright and his son John settled in the Cariboo and began raising cattle and horses. In 2017, the Wright and McDougall families brought that history to the Squamish Valley and created Hop Creek Farms, named after one of the two creeks that wind through the property. The brewery followed in 2025, becoming another part of the farm rather than a separate attraction.

In the farm, beer is brewed within sight of the pastures, and the animals are woven into everything we do. The Highland cattle, goats, pigs and mini woolly donkeys have inspired beers such as Highland Lager, G.O.A.T. Hazy Pale Ale and Jackass Pilsner. Visitors can often meet the namesakes while enjoying a flight. Order something from one of their food trailers, settle in with a pint, and experience a brewery where the farm isn’t simply the backdrop. It’s the heart of the whole place.
