Robbie Burns Day at Macaloney’s Caledonian Distillery and Twa Dogs Brewery on January 23
January 23, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 6:30 pm
FreeOn Sunday, January 23 from 12-6:30 PM, celebrate Robbie Burns Day at Macaloney’s Caledonian Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery (just outside of Victoria). Guests will get to try the new Pilot Series beer, a 25-litre batch of hand-crafted smoked brown ale, exclusively on-tap at the brewery for just $7 (or $6 if wearing a kilt). The event will also launch the new Bicycle Pizza program, as visitors will now be able to dine-in or order takeout from Bicycle Pizza at Macaloney’s starting on Sunday. All pizzas are 12” each, made with local ingredients, and are priced at either $15 or $16.
Guests are welcome to visit without reservation to enjoy the celebration and new offerings. All customers will eat and drink in the taproom or in an outdoor heated tent. Those that get in the Scottish-spirit and wear tartan will receive happy hour pricing for the day!
For those unfamiliar, ‘Robbie Burns Day’ (better known to the Scottish as ‘Rabbie Burns Day’) and ‘Burns Night,’ commemorates the life and work of Scotland’s National Poet, Robert Burns. Macaloney’s owner, Scotland-born Graeme Macaloney, has already recognized the Scottish poet by branding his brewery and beers after Burns’ famous poem “The Twa Dogs,” making it the only brewery to celebrate Robbie Burns year-round.
